What lift is for you?

To safely work at height you need one of our powered access solutions. With so many different options choosing a lift to suit your needs can be difficult. Below is a video and information on lifts to make your decision easier.

Before we hire out a powered access lift we need to ask a few questions.

What height and reach do you need?
Does the lift have to be able to move when it is erected?
What weight will be in the basket?
Are you on level ground?
Do you have any height or width restrictions?

What height and reach do you need?

When choosing a lift you need to know how high you need to go. It is always important to remember that as you reach out you lose height. Lift charts are provided in all out lift description.

Does the lift have to be able to move when it is erected?

Some lifts come with outriggers and can't be moved when they are erected, other lifts like scissor lifts and articulated wheeled boom lifts can be moved when they are up.

What weight will be in the basket?

All lifts have basket weight limits and are mostly designed as personnel lifts and not manual handling lifts. Most lifts have a 200kg max weight however scissor lifts have a superior carrying capacity.

Are you on level ground?

Outriggers are perfect for levelling a machine up on uneven ground. Scissor lifts and indoor articulated boom lifts are very sensitive to uneven floors and will not work even on the most modest of angles.

Do you have any height or width restrictions?

Sometimes when working at height you require narrow machines to navigate through tight passageways. We have narrow scissor lifts and tracklifts for such an occasion.
